Ian has been minister at Bonhill since 6th August
1975 and describes the congregation as being
"the warmest and most supportive in the whole of
Scotland, where no one is ever turned away".
He is widely involved in the community being
chaplain to three primary schools and the local
senior secondary. He is also deeply involved
in the local hospital. He lists his passions as
people, golf and amateur drama.
Over his twenty seven years he has married
almost three thousand couples both in the church
and in a variety of other locations in and around
Loch Lomond. Many still retaining some link
with Bonhill years later.
He has baptized 2,500 children and taken part
in nearly 4,000 funerals. He says "it has been
a great privilege to share in peoples's
joys and sorrows". If you are thinking about
